Cathou is a small shop, and we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated — carefully, and only for what you came here to do. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who's responsible

Your information is handled by Cathou LLC, based in the United States. Questions any time: orders@cathou.com.

2. What we collect

  • What you give us — your name, email, shipping address, and order details when you buy or get in touch. If you opt in, your email for our occasional updates.
  • Payment details — handled directly by our secure payment providers at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Automatic information — like most sites, our platform records basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the shop working and secure.
  • Cookies — small files that remember your cart and preferences and help us understand how the shop is used. You can control or clear these in your browser settings.

3. How we use it

  • To process, pack and deliver your order, and to email you about it.
  • To answer your messages and sort out anything that goes wrong.
  • To keep the site running, secure, and a little better over time.
  • To send occasional updates about new pieces or offers — only if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click.

We don't use your information for anything you wouldn't expect, and we never sell it.

4. Who we share it with

Only the trusted services that make an order happen, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, which powers our store and checkout.
  • Payment providers, who process your payment securely.
  • Shipping carriers (such as USPS), to deliver your parcel.
  • Email tools, to send order confirmations and, if you've opted in, updates.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and customers. That's the whole list — no advertisers, no data brokers.

5. Keeping it safe

Our store runs on Shopify's secure, encrypted platform, and payments are processed through providers that meet industry security standards. No system online is ever completely risk-free, but we take sensible steps to protect what you share.

6. Your choices and rights

  • See, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email us.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing any time, via the link in any email.
  • Decline cookies through your browser, though some parts of the shop may work less smoothly.

To make any of these requests, email orders@cathou.com and we'll take care of it.

7. Keeping your information

We hold order records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our legal and tax obligations, then remove them. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Children

Cathou isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we'll delete them.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will live here with a fresh date at the top. Please check back now and then.
