Terms of Use

These are the terms you agree to when you shop with Cathou. We've kept them plain. If anything here is unclear, email orders@cathou.com and we'll explain it properly.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Cathou LLC ("Cathou", "we", "us"), a small shop based in the United States. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

2. Using the site

You're welcome to browse, shop, and share. In return, you agree not to misuse the site — no interfering with how it runs, no attempting to access it in ways it isn't meant to be accessed, and nothing unlawful. You must be at least 18 to place an order.

3. Your account

You can shop without an account, but if you create one, keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.

4. Products, prices and availability

  • We describe and photograph everything as carefully as we can, but colours can vary slightly between screens, and small handmade pieces vary by nature.
  • Because pieces are made in small runs, something that's here today may sell out and not return.
  • Prices and availability can change without notice. If we spot a genuine pricing error on an item you've ordered, we'll contact you before charging you and let you decide whether to go ahead.

5. Orders and payment

When you place an order you're making an offer to buy, which we accept when we send your confirmation. Payment is taken at checkout through secure payment providers — we never see or store your full card details. We may decline or cancel an order if we can't fulfil it, if we suspect fraud, or if an item was listed in error; if we've already charged you, you'll be refunded in full.

6. Shipping and returns

How delivery and returns work is set out on our Shipping Policy and Return & Exchange Policy pages. Placing an order means you've read and agree to them. We currently ship within the United States only.

7. Our content

The words, photographs, graphics and logo on this site are ours (or used with permission) and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Please don't copy, resell or reuse them for your own commercial purposes without asking first — we're usually happy to say yes if you just get in touch.

8. A few things you agree not to do

  • Break any law, or use the site to post anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish our content or product data at scale.

9. The site as it is

We work hard to keep the site accurate and running, but we offer it "as is" — we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Cathou LLC isn't liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law — including your rights if an item arrives faulty.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Cathou LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
